The name of the jewelry house, SOLKA, comes from combining the first letters of the maternal surnames in the family of siblings Frans and Ruth—an homage to their grandmother, Montserrat Solanas, and their mother, Hadewig Kamminga.

Born in the Mediterranean, like its founder, SOLKA emerges from a deep passion for design—creating timeless jewelry for today, crafted consciously and with love, destined to shine both now and for future generations.

At the beginning of the project, we worked as Creative Director, collaborating closely with Frans, the artisan behind each piece, to design SOLKA’s very first collection.

Each piece is meticulously crafted by hand in zirconia, beneath the mountains of Montserrat, and sent out into the world imbued with delicacy and love.

The brand’s concept, “Shine with us,” captures SOLKA’s spirit, while the first collection, named “Origen,” honors the brand’s roots and heritage.
